ILS Course

The Resuscitation Council (UK) Immediate Life Support course, more commonly known as 'ILS' is one of the most highly sought after resuscitation qualifications throughout the UK.

It can open many doors for the holder, being one of few resuscitation courses that is fully endorsed and recognised by the NHS and private healthcare sector. For some, it is a mandatory qualification to hold in order to maintain their current position or to progress to more senior roles.

The course is not exclusively for healthcare professionals, it is open to other professionals who would be expected to administer resuscitation as part of their role. These can include police officers, firefighters, aircraft/yacht crew and soldiers.

Who is the course designed for?

Doctors, dental professionals, medical students, nurses, midwives, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals who require an ILS qualification to gain and/or maintain their registration with the GMC, GDC, NMC, HCPC and/or those who require an ILS certification for career progression, promotion or placement opportunities.

EMTs, AAPs and FREC 4/5 qualified individuals who are required to undertake yearly Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to stay competent within their role.

It is also suitable for fire service personnel, police officers and prison staff who are expected to perform resuscitation as part of their role.
